Professional Full-System Diagnostics

TOPDON lists full-system diagnostic coverage for more than 200 vehicle brands. On supported applications Phoenix Max can access Engine, Transmission, Airbag/SRS, ABS, ESP, TPMS, Immobilizer, Gateway, Steering, Radio, HVAC and other electronic systems. Core diagnostic operations include ECU information, reading and clearing DTCs, live data streams and bi-directional active tests.

Topology Mapping

Phoenix Max displays supported vehicle modules in a visual topology network. Technicians can quickly identify module communication and fault status instead of opening every ECU individually, helping speed up the first stage of complex electrical and network diagnosis.

Bi-Directional Active Tests

Active testing lets Phoenix Max command supported actuators and vehicle systems through their ECUs. This allows technicians to verify component response and helps distinguish an electrical, control or mechanical problem from a stored fault code.

41 Maintenance & Service Functions

Phoenix Max provides 41 maintenance service functions across supported mainstream vehicle platforms. Available resets, relearns, adaptations and calibrations are automatically determined by the connected vehicle and ECU.

Cloud-Based Programming & Coding

TOPDON lists online programming support for selected Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, SEAT, Porsche, Land Rover, Jaguar, Renault, Nissan, Subaru, Infiniti, Hyundai and Kia applications. Additional online coding, parameterization, calibration, matching and guided functions are available on selected brands and ECUs.

Supported advanced functions include selected Mercedes-Benz SCN coding; BMW, VAG, Porsche and Renault online coding; VW/Audi parameterization, FFS activation and calibration/matching; VW/Audi/Skoda guided functions; and selected offline programming for Ford, Mazda, Vauxhall and Opel.

Phoenix MDCI Pro Vehicle Interface

The included Phoenix MDCI Pro supports modern communication technologies including DoIP, CAN FD, D-PDU and RP1210. TOPDON also lists J2534 protocol support, giving professional shops access to a broad range of newer vehicle communication architectures.

13.3" Professional Diagnostic Tablet

The Phoenix Max uses an MT8788 8-core 2.0GHz processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Its 13.3-inch 1920 × 1200 display provides ample room for topology maps, data streams and diagnostic menus. Dual-band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi and a rear 13MP camera support connected shop workflows.

18,600mAh Battery & Charging Dock

TOPDON rates the high-capacity battery for up to approximately eight hours of runtime. An included charging base gives the Phoenix Max a convenient docking location between jobs.

AutoVIN, Data Recording & FCA Secure Gateway

AutoVIN helps identify supported vehicles automatically. Data-stream recording and playback let technicians review diagnostic sessions. For applicable FCA Secure Gateway vehicles, Phoenix Max supports authorized access to protected functions such as supported DTC clearing, active tests and calibrations; separate authorization or service requirements may apply.

Heavy-Duty Diagnostic Expansion

Phoenix Max currently includes one year of heavy-duty diagnostic software coverage. Required heavy-duty adapter cables are sold separately, allowing shops to expand the platform into supported commercial-truck diagnostics.

Expandable Professional Platform

TOPDON lists expansion compatibility with Phoenix ADAS, BTMobile ProS battery testing, T-Ninja Box, thermal imaging, endoscope applications and Phoenix Scope.

Phoenix Scope Option

Phoenix Max is available with or without the Phoenix Scope. The optional four-channel automotive oscilloscope supports electrical circuit, sensor, actuator, ignition and communication testing. It offers 23 automatic measurements, up to 50M memory depth, waveform recording/playback, reference waveforms, mathematical operations including FFT, trigger functions and cursor analysis. Phoenix Scope works with compatible Phoenix diagnostic tablets and is not a standalone scope.
